The Back to Basics Movement

For Christ
For Personal Self Study

Although Christianity is about the Christian Church, it is even more about each individual’s personal relationship with Christ. This booklet is meant to help develop this individual relationship.

The Scriptures

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
St. John 3:16

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God had raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Roman 10:9

"Believe in me that I am the Father, and  the Father in me…, I go unto my Father and whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son…And I shall pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever… He dwelleth with you and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless…Yet a little while and the world sees me no more: but ye see me: because I live ye shall live also. One Song Says It All- “Living For Jesus”

Living for Jesus a life that is true,
Striving to please him in all that I do;
Yielding allegiance, glad hearted and free,
This is the pathway of blessing for me.

Chorus
O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee,
For Thou, in Thy atonement, didst give Thyself for me;
I own no other Master, My heart shall be Thy throne;
My life I give, henceforth to live,
O Christ, For Thee alone.

Living for Jesus who died in my place,
Bearing on Calvary my sin and disgrace;
Such love constrains me to answer His call,
Follow His leading and give Him my all.

Chorus

Living for Jesus wherever I am,
Doing each duty in His holy name;
Willing to suffer affliction and loss,
Taking each trial as part of my cross.

Chorus

Living for Jesus through earth’s little while,
My dearest treasure, the light of His smile;
Seeking the lost ones He died to redeem,
Bringing the weary to find rest in Him.

Chorus
